Meet our team:
Denise Johnson, CIC
President/Chief Executive Officer
Denise Johnson got her start in the industry back in 1996 when she joined her family's agency in Piedmont, Oklahoma. As a second-generation insurance agent, Denise was able to serve the industry on a local, regional and national level. She joined the IIAOK Board of Directors in 2006, and took over as Chairman in 2010. Denise joined the association as President/CEO in 2014 and has spent the last four years striving to uphold the mission statement on a daily basis. Denise graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree and holds both the CIC and CISR designations. She loves to pass her time in yoga classes, listening to audiobooks and traveling with her husband, John, to historic cities. Denise has three daughters, two of whom are married, and two granddaughters.
Chief Financial Officer
Malinda Day joined IIAOK in November of 1998, as the first person then-President Dan Ramsey hired after he came on board. Malinda's career began in a bank right out ofl high school, which was where she got her start in the field of finance. After spending some time working in HR at Feed the Children, Malinda found her way to IIAOK. While she began as the bookkeeper, she has always had a desire to help wherever she is needed, and has since learned how to do much of what goes on across all areas of our association. Malinda and her husband, Doug, enjoy traveling and spending time with their families.
Cindy Munden, CISR
Specialty Lines Program Account Manager
Cindy Munden just celebrated her 20th anniversary with IIAOK in May of 2018. She worked as a clerk typist at USF&G before joining our staff to handle the Farm & Ranch and Personal Umbrella programs. Cindy holds a CISR designation. When she isn't working, you can find Cindy in Mexico on vacation, in her pool, at the lake, or just about anywhere there's sunshine and warm weather. Cindy has been married to her high school sweetheart, Richey, for 23 awesome years and they have four fur babies: one dog and three cats.
E&O Program Account Manager
Cheryl Lyman joined the insurance industry 15 years ago when she started her own agency from scratch. A few years later, Cheryl joined the Independent Insurance Association of Utah working in administration, accounting, education and events before eventually serving as the Executive Director. Though she still resides in Utah, Cheryl joined the IIAOK staff in early 2018 and holds her CISR designation. Cheryl has two grown children and four grandchildren. She can always be found on a patio enjoying a meal outside, and loves a good book club.

Susan Starr started at IIAOK in January of 2016 handling the Workers' Comp program. Susan's career spans many industries, having spent time working for American Airlines, Oklahoma Christian University and the Oklahoma City Indian Clinic. With a bachelor's degree in Project Management under her belt, obtained in 2003 from OCU, she is currently working toward her CISR designation. Susan loves spending time with her tribe, and can be found attending volleyball practices for her daughter, Emma, or with her D group at church. Susan also enjoys gardening, game nights and spending time with family.

Niki Wigington came to IIAOK from CompSource Mutual, where she worked as an underwriter for 8 years. Prior to that, Niki worked for the State of Oklahoma for 23 years. In her two years with IIAOK, Niki has worked in education, E&O and Workers' Comp. Niki boasts a reputation as the office extrovert, and is constantly inviting people over to her house for pool parties, game nights and more! Niki enjoys spending time with her three children, her boyfriend, Derek, their families and pets.
Young Agents Liaison
Laura Wolf joined IIAOK in November 2017. She graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Arts in Brand Communications in December 2013. Upon graduating, Laura went to work doing digital and strategic communications for the UCO Alumni Association. Combining her association and communications experience, Laura handles the social media, website, print and digital marketing efforts at IIAOK. Laura can be found spending her spare time serving at her church, catching a baseball game, or curled up in bed with a good book and her puppy, Wrigley.
Ashley Henderson arrived at IIAOK in August of 2017. She started out helping with Workers' Compensation, Education and Membership, but has since been transitioned to full-time education coordinator. Ashley obtained her associate's degree in Science from Rose State College in 2014, and her beautician's license in 2008. While not coming from an insurance background directly, Ashley's mother has experience in the industry. Ashley is very close to her family and can be found spending her weekends serving in the preschool class at her church. She has one daughter named Alaya, a Yorkie named Tyson, and a second child on the way.
Project Management Intern
Kennedy Rozneck joined IIAOK in March of 2018 as one of two interns. Kennedy handles data entry, mailings, membership packets, and assisting just about everyone at some point or another. She is working toward pursuing a degree in Nursing at the University of Central Oklahoma and hopes to begin nursing school in the fall of 2019. Kennedy serves as the Director of Standards and Ethics in her sorority, Alpha Delta Pi, which takes up much of her time outside of work, class and studying.
Events & Marketing
Shania Slavick, a student at the University of Central Oklahoma, joined the IIAOK team in January of 2018. Shania is majoring in Professional Sales and minoring in Leadership, with an anticipated graduation date of May 2020. In addition to her role with IIAOK events, marking and the Partner Program, she also works as a nanny and is in her second year as a Resident Assistant at UCO. Shania is involved in a lot of campus activities, including Leaders of Tomorrow, Broncho Buddies, Marketing Club and Bronchothon. While her Alaskan malamute can't live with her on campus, Shania does her best to make it home to Moore for visits whenever she can.
